Die Suite entstand Anfang der siebziger Jahre und existierte lange Zeit nur als Kopie des handgeschriebenen Manuskripts. Mittlerweile liegt sie als gedruckte Notenausgabe vor und wird bereits von einigen Musikschulen und Hochschulen als Vortragswerk genutzt.
Obwohl die Suite ohne Daumenaufsatz auskommt, entthält die alles, um beim Grund/Oberstufenabschluss, sowie bei Jugend musiziert einen guten Eindruck zu hinterlassen.
Neu, die Klavierstimme ist auch für Kontrabass mit Solostimmung erhältlich.
